Education of Information?Communication Technology on the Base of Russian State Educational Standard ?Applied Mathematics and Informatics?

The area of Information?Communication Technology (ICT) is expanding very fast, enormously huge funds are being invested in its development. New paradigms, concepts, standards, tools, applications are rapidly appearing and introducing into industry and society. The ICT development drastically increases both importance and complexity of the problem of creating adequate ICT Curricula educational standards (models) to teach professionals in such a way, that they should be capable of long duration and effective activity in the ICT area.
The problem is in the focus of interest of teachers and administrators community which is illustrated by recent intensive activity of task forces of ACM, IEEE-CS, AIS, SIGITE (SITE), BCS, IFIP, ABET/CAC/ CSAB aimed of develop adequate Curricula models for ICT specialties family.
The problem in Russia may be solved at the account of well-established tradition of providing education fundamentality. The essence of the tradition is, that a student learns not set of means for solving concrete problems, but theories, methods and approaches underlying of the development of the means. Fundamentality of the qualification firstly allows organizing manufacturing a product of good quality with high labour productivity, and, secondly, provides for a graduate self-teaching ability and his/her fast adaptation to any innovations in the area.
In Russia exists a family of state educational standards ?Applied Mathematics and Informatics? for education by specialty 010200 (5 years study) and by directions 510200 (bachelor, 4 year, and master of science, 6 year). The standards, per se, are curricula models, as is, for example, ?Computing Curricula 2001?, and they have three important features, allowing to organize on their base education of modern ICT professionals.
Firstly, serious mathematical training forms way of student?s thinking, which is fast, flexible and strictly analytical. Secondly, there enough place in the standard, to give students basics of Computing. Thirdly, predefined in the standard volume of time for special and elective disciplines fully provides planning officers ability to reflect in a curriculum current changes in the ICT area.
Remark, that existing big positive experience of using the graduates, educated by the standards.
Using 13 years experience of Mathematical Faculty of the Petrozavodsk State University in education of bachelors of 510200 direction we will present the paper covering the following topics:
?expanded motivation of using {0|5}10200 family of standards for education high qualified ICT professionals;
?propositions on content of main knowledge areas;
?bachelor degree Curriculum model;
?main direction of specializations.
