Temporary scientific-technical collective (VNTK) start

The year 1983 was marked by appearance of information about the Japanese national project aimed at the creation of the so called Fifth Generation computers, where the emphasis was set upon the drastic improvement of the intelligence of the developed systems. On the instruction of the USSR State Committee on Science and Technology (GKNT) a group of specialists in computer architecture and software was formed. Its task was to evaluate the Japanese project and to work out a conception of perspective developing of computers and software in our country. The leadership was taken by V.
